Ceramic Glass Coatings

A coating provides an extremely deep gloss on painted surfaces, protects against scratches and UV radiation and prevents dirt from adhering. Coatings have become increasingly popular in the recent years.

Professional ceramic glass coatings (such as N-XTC Quartz Coatings) require precise working methods that are only done by trained and certified installers, these coatings become very hard, offer self-cleaning, self-healing and many other properties that ordinary coatings for the hobbyist do not offer. Hobbyist coatings are more affordable and not more difficult to apply than regular wax, but they offer much better performance than traditional waxes or polymeric sealants.

What all coatings have in common is that they are based on a ceramic component, usually silicon dioxide, sometimes also titanium dioxide or another semi-metal of the so-called rare earth metals. These elements are responsible for the inimitable pearl effect and the excellent self-cleaning properties: dirt no longer sticks so easily and if it does happen, it can be rinsed off much more easily. In addition, all coatings offer very high UV protection and form an extremely strong, long-lasting bond with the paintwork on a physical level, so that a vehicle treated with a coating will still look like new years later.
